State Indoor 2019 Results
Final results from the 49th Annual Pennsylvania J.O.A.D. State Indoor Championship are now posted.
There is also a Flickr album shared by Eric Jones of Crowfoot, who took some great shots of the competition and the awards presentation.
Shooter of the Year Update
Congratulations to Emily Kamp, the 2019 Shooter of the Year in the Female Recurve Junior/Cadet division!
It was a great day of shooting, with a fine showing by the Falcon Archers. A special shout-out to Emma O’Hair for defeating the #1 seed archer in the Female Compound Junior/Cadet division and making it into the finals.

Hotel Block for States
Our block of rooms for States is confirmed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites : Harrisburg W – Mechanicsburg (2055 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17050)
The contracted rate of $94 will only be available for the dates that are listed on the contract. If another day is needed for the event, we can add on the same rate for an extra day, but I will need to be informed to apply this.

Nationals Results and Bill’s Line Times
The times for the tournament at Bill’s are now posted at the Line Times link from the website.
JOAD Indoor Nationals was held this weekend in Fishersville, VA, and Falcon Archers JOAD made a good showing. Emily Kamp placed 3rd in Junior Women Recurve, and Emma O’Hair placed 3rd in Junior Women Compound. Great shooting, ladies!
Pictures Jan 14th
Monday practices begin this week. They will run roughly from 6:30 to 8:00, but we understand that weekday schedules can be rough, so just do your best. Do contact Mrs. Brown if you can’t make practice at all.
On January 14th we will have a photographer there to take team and individual pictures. So:
- Wear your uniform!
- Try to be on time at 6:30.
- PLEASE let us know if you won’t be there.
- Picture order forms will be available this week at practice.
- If you are getting individual photos, bring CLEAN SHOES with you to practice. That way you don’t track mud onto his backdrop.
Jobs and Food for the Falcon’s Tournament
Sign-up sheets are now posted for jobs and food donations for the Falcon Archers JOAD Tournament, Jan 18-20. As a reminder, all families are required to work one of the volunteer slots during our tournament, and to donate one food item for each archer. Extra work or donations are definitely appreciated!
